Happy Father's Day !!

Father's Day - June 19, 2011

A dad is someone who
wants to catch you before you fall
but instead picks you up,
brushes you off,
and lets you try again.

A dad is someone who
wants to keep you from making mistakes
but instead lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence
when you get hurt.

A dad is someone who
holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules,
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in you even when you fail..

Powerful Poem " I will wait for you" performed by Janette Ikz PC4M Poet

Janette Ikz is an amazing poet from California , who is encouraging many young men and women to wait on the lord. She quotes many scriptures from the bible referring them ,to real life relationships and obstacles .We were really touched by her words because they were so powerful and REAL!.

Here are a few lines from her poem that we absolutely loved!!

"Reminded of Solomons wisdom, your ability to lead will remind me of Moses, your faith will remind me of Abraham, your confidence in Gods Words will remind me of Daniel, your inspiration will remind me of Paul, your heart for God will remind me of David, your attention to detail will remind me of Noah, your integrity will remind me of Joseph, your abililty to abandon your own will will remind me of the disciples, but your ability to love selflessly and unconditionally will remind me of Christ!

"You will find where the boldness of Esther, meets the warm closeness nice of Ruth where the hospitality of Lydia is aligned with the submission of Mary which is engulfed in the tears of a praying Hanna I will be the one drenched in Proverbs 31

Are you Keeping in Touch ?

“Let’s keep in touch!” “We should do lunch!” “Give me a call sometime!” Ah, yes. These lovely phrases are the proverbial dime-a-dozen. Many people say these things with amazing frequency and without ever actually acting on them. We are all guilty lolAnd it’s no wonder why. If someone was to actually act on all of these phrases, they’d have a full-time job just dedicated to keeping in touch with everyone in their personal and professional networks. (Yet another reminder of why sincerity should always be the rule of the game).
So what are some fun ways to keep in touch with family and friends without feeling over-extended? Hopefully one, some, or all of the following ideas will strike your fancy.
1. Pick up the phone. You don’t have to talk for hours – but sometimes just hearing your loved one’s voice makes all those miles between you disappear (at least for a little while). Call loved ones whenever you can.
2. Fire up your computer and send off some meaningful emails. Regularly. A thoughtful message – no matter how brief – goes a long way.
3. Write and mail handwritten letters. These are an anomaly today and because they are so few and far between, the special factor is especially high. So don’t be shy about penning your thanks, love, encouragement, or hellos at least once a week. Each note can be brief or lengthy, and should always be sincere. Ten minutes tops, and your letter is good to go. To start, send a note to one person this week. Send another letter to someone else next week. Do the same three weeks from now, and four weeks from now, and five weeks from now, and…
4. Send the occasional care package – especially when it’s least expected. These packages are a great opportunity to let your creativity soar, and they can be theme-based or filled with a variety of odds and ends. Some fun ideas for the contents include: an interesting bumper sticker, colorful striped socks, a travel-size game, two hot pink pens, and Cracker Jack.
5. Along these lines, consider setting up a group page on Facebook and inviting specific individuals to join this group online. There you can post photos, share comments, and stay connected in real time.

Shaq retires after 19 years in the game via twitter, check out video!

"We did it. Nineteen years, baby. (I) want to thank you very much. That's why I'm telling you first, I'm about to retire. Love you. Talk to you soon," Shaq said in the video on Tout.com, linked from his Twitter account.

Shaquille Oneal one of the greatest center of all times, announced today via twitter that he will be retiring for the NBA.

Story from CNN.com

In a different Tout.com clip, O'Neal said, "I know you heard I just announced I'm retired, so I need your help. Help me come up with a new nickname."
His team, the Boston Celtics, has not announced his retirement.
The 7-foot-1-inch center won four NBA titles in a 19-year career. He is fifth on the NBA’s all-time career scoring list with 28,596 points - short of only Hall of Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain - and 12th on the league’s all time rebounding list, with 13,099.
Drafted after his junior year at Louisiana State University in 1992, O’Neal would earn NBA rookie of the year honors with the Orlando Magic, with whom he played four seasons before signing with the Los Angeles Lakers.

He started collecting his championship rings in Los Angeles, teaming with Kobe Bryant to win three straight NBA titles from 2000 to 2002 and earning NBA Finals MVP awards in all three years.
Amid a feud with Bryant, O’Neal went to the Miami Heat, with whom he would pick up his last NBA championship in 2006.
He went on to play for Phoenix and Cleveland before signing with the Boston Celtics in August. Limited by injury, his points-per-game average was under 10 (9.2) for the first time in his career, and he missed the first round in this year’s playoffs before scoring two points in two games in the Celtics’ second-round loss to Miami.
